Mr. Quazi Shafiqul Islam FCA, is the Founder & Managing Partner of IQS. He was a Finance Director (Board Member) & Company Secretary of Reckitt & Colman Bangladesh Limited. He has more than 51 years experience in the field of accounting, auditing, taxation, Investigation and business advisory services. He attended many seminars and workshops organized by the Metro Politan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) and Reckitt & Colman Group at Dhaka, Bombay, Delhi, Karachi, Colombo and Singapore.
Earlier Mr. Islam served as Finance Manager (Accounts and Personnel) in Reckitt & Colman Bangladesh Limited, as Head of Accounts, Project Monitoring and in other capacities for eight years.
Mr. Islam also severed as Team Leader, Advisor and Trainer of various projects of World Bank, UNDP, NGOs and foreign funds. He was a member of Chittagong Club Limited from 1993 to 2005. He was also a Rotarian from 1998 to 2008 and served as Secretary, Vice President and President. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and a Memorial Contributor too.
Biplab Hossain, FCA
Biplab Hossain FCA(ICAB), ACA (England and Wales), as an auditor and tax consultant with over 15 years of experience, I have a deep understanding of the financial and tax implications that businesses face. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a National University, as well as a Master’s degree. In addition, I am a Practicing Chartered Accountant and have completed numerous training programs and continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices in the field.
Throughout my career, I have worked with clients in a wide range of industries, from small startups to large corporations. My approach to auditing and tax consulting is rooted in thorough research, analysis, and attention to detail. I always begin by gaining a comprehensive understanding of a client’s business, financial position, and tax obligations. From there, I develop a customized plan that is tailored to the unique needs of each client.
One of my greatest strengths as an auditor and tax consultant is my ability to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement. I use a variety of auditing techniques to evaluate a client’s financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with tax laws and regulations. This helps me identify areas where a client can improve their financial performance, minimize their tax liability, and avoid potential legal issues.
In addition to my technical expertise, I am also a skilled communicator and collaborator. I understand the importance of building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike, and I always strive to maintain open lines of communication and foster a positive working environment.

Mr. Abu Nasser FCA, qualified as a chartered accountant in 2012. He has more than 11 years experience in financial accounting, management accounting, financial analysis, auditing, banking, and information & communication technology.
His experience covers Government, Non-Government Organizations, local & Multi-National Companies in diversified sectors including Financial Institutions, Manufacturing Industries, Trading and Not-for-Profit Organizations.
Md. Abdur Rahman, FCA
Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman FCA, qualified as a chartered accountant in 2012. He has more than 16 years of experience in financial accounting, management accounting, budgetary control, cost management, auditing, income tax and VAT.
Earlier he worked in Square Pharmaceuticals Limited in various capacities from 2007 to 2017 looking after accounts, finance, fund management, taxation, VAT, foreign trade, internal control and internal audit.
His experience covers diversified industries like banking, financial institutions, insurance, pharmaceutical, government and NGOs.
Khan Tariqul Islam, FCA
Khan Tariqul Islam FCA joined Islam Quazi Shafique & Co., Chartered Accountants (IQS) as a partner in 2021. He has more than three decades experience in senior management positions in banks and financial institutions.
In addition to audit and assurance in general, within IQS, he is mainly responsible for providing audit & assurance, taxation and consultancy services to the bank and financial companies comprising analytical, conceptual and intellectual excellence for creating and adding unique value to the client entities, on a long –term sustainable basis, in the areas of: risk management, credit risk management, performance management, special credit portfolio audit, forensic audit, IPO, due diligence, capital management and restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, competition, efficiency and productivity management, peer analysis, best practice and international credit rating.
He was a Deputy Managing Director & CFO in Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL), where he worked for 14 years (2006-2020). He was mainly engaged in strategic bank management, credit portfolio risk; market, performance, competition and peer analysis, one to one comparison for identifying relative and segmented competitive positions of major banks in the country, as well as major Indian private banks like ICICI bank, in the light of five major competitive forces, a model designed by Michael E. Porter, a professor in Harvard Business School.
He was a Finance Director in IPDC Finance Limited (IPDC), where he worked for six years (2001-2006) with International Finance Professionals (board members) from International Finance Corporation (IFC), German Development Company (DEG), Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) and Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) having globally diversified experience, expertise and exposures particularly in the areas of project finance, project risk management, financial modeling and scenario analysis including greenfield projects , equity finance and foreign currency finance.
He worked for two years (1998-2001) in Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) as a Senior Vice President.
He was a Deputy General Manager ( DGM) in Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) where he worked for eight years ( 1990-1998), witnessing ,among others, country’s first large scale stock market manipulation, market bubble and market crash during the second half of 1996 creating a nightmare for millions of innocent general investors.
Before ICB, he worked six years (1984-1989) with Late Mr. Kazi Kamrul Hoda, MA, Oxon. of the Hoda Vasi Chowdhy & Co., Chartered Accountants, where he was mainly responsible for auditing the foreign operations of the then Grindlays Bank (later ANZ Grindlays Bank) and Standard Chartered Bank as well as Sonali Bank and Agrani Bank .
A well-read person committed to highest level of ethical and professional standard, Mr. Islam has published articles in national English dailies, professional journals and Linked In for last 26 years (1996-2022) covering banking, NBFI, capital market, public finance, monetary policy, risk management, interest rate policy, loan-loss provision policy, taxation, accounting, auditing and good governance.
